Antonia Lofaso's food can be a way to investigate the depths of her cooking. It is her food that stirs curiosity. It was born when she left into the Long Island suburbs and entered the culturally rich environment of Los Angeles. Carnitas and Cavatellis in the same dish is what she believes in. However, what is consistent in all of her dishes is a singular vision towards the future that longingly remembers the previous. Scopa Italian Roots is a restaurant that was founded by Lofaso in 2013. It was founded by the chef as a result of her Italian-American background. Lofaso has received praise for her interpretation of traditional Italian food. Lofaso has been praised by many as a local favourite that serves up food that's authentic, delicious and warm. Lofaso worked under culinary greats to master their techniques. But she didn't hesitate making bold choices in order to follow her intuition. After a brief period she rose to the very top at Wolfgang Puck's Spago. Then she collaborated with many famous celebrities while transforming various Los Angeles restaurants. Lofaso along with Sal Aurora partnered in 2011 to open Black Market Liquor Bar Studio City. The Lofaso is now settling in Black Market, and through the partnerships that she created. Lofaso could find the space to express her creativity that she wanted through the collaboration. Black Market is not constrained by a single direction, and that's the goal. The first course could be potatoes chips, peppers and dill, followed by Korean meatballs and wings. The underlying ingredient in this dazzling variety of tastes is Antonia. Lofaso evaluates her achievements throughout her career by the innate ability she has to understand her audience and be loyal to her character. Her appearances on the Top Chef Chicago episode and Top Chef: All Stars demonstrated her capability to communicate her personality outside of the kitchen. In the years since she's continued to pursue her career in front of cameras as a CNBC's Restaurant Startup Judge as well as regular appearances on The Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child. In 2012 Lofaso was a part of Penguin to release"The Busy Mother's Cookbook 100 Recipes for Quick Delicious homemade Meals The book also tells the story of her struggles during her time at the prestigious French Culinary Institute, and simultaneously raising her daughter Xea.
